Logistics and Inventory Management at Landert Bread

Posted On September 17, 2015 by Landert Bread

Logistics and Inventory Management is a Challenging Task.
It takes about 5 to 7 weeks from the time we order a new container in Europe until arrival at the freezer warehouse in North Ft. Myers. This presents an occasional challenge to manage inventory in order to satisfy our customers’ needs. We maintain inventory at a level so we are able to distribute all the orders in a timely manner.

We are happy we may count on the professionalism of our European producers. As a result, we are able to manage large volumes, especially when going into high season.

The production facilities of our European manufacturers are certified according to BRC and IFS standards. They are among the best production sites for deep-frozen bakery products in the world.

The following pictures show the arrival of our most recent container this week (09/15/2015). As you can see, it is unavoidable that some of the loaded cases are damaged and therefore not qualified to be delivered to our customers.
