Isigny butter has been produced under ‘Appelation d’Origine Contrôlée’ (AOP) since 1986. It’s milk is sourced from an exceptional pastoral location by the sea, between fields and the marshes of Bessin and Cotentin. The town of Isigny-sur-Mer is within a 30km radius, in the region of Calvados. The mild and humid climate, along with the rich alluvial soil, provide the pastures that form the incomparable taste and buttercup colour of Isigny milk and butter.
